MIBI SCHOOLS IN AFRICA
Furthermore, classes are held from Tuesday through Friday, so students can hold or attend church services on Sunday, travel to the site on Monday, participate in the MIBI program from Tuesday-Friday, travel back to their homes on Saturday and attend services on Sunday.
One of the compelling reasons God called us to Uganda was that the Christian government established here after the fall of Idi Amin had found that the growing Christian population was resulting in newly baptized Christians starting churches. However, because of lack of
training, these new leaders were abusing their communities. Therefore, the government threatened to close the churches unless the new pastors were trained. Since then, they now require all pastors to not only receive basic training but also to obtain internationally accredited degrees in order to oversee churches. This development has resulted in an even greater need for MIBI.
At the present time, besides our Uganda site, we are training students in two remote sites in Kenya, two in Tanzania and one in S. Sudan.
