NEW MIBI APOSTOLIC CENTER IN UGANDA, WEEK 13
We continue week 13 to establish the MIBI KAI Center in Mukono, Uganda
During the last two weeks, several significant events have occurred. As reported in our last blog, we were invited by the local Mukono Love Church to hold a six-session introductory Discipleship Training course for some of the young adult members of their congregation. This began on Sunday, August 2 with a general presentation at their 10 a.m. Sunday service, followed by the first teaching session and group sharing with those who had registered to take the course. The remaining five sessions will be held each Sunday after their service ending on Sunday, Sept. 6th.
Also, on Tuesday, August 4 we attended a monthly Apostolic Gathering in Kampala. Since we have obtained our visa extension, we used this opportunity to visit the Uganda Immigration Services to get our Passports stamped with the extended visa and to have our fingerprints retaken in order to get the missionary visas so we are able to remain here until we complete our God assignment. Please pray that we will be successful
At our weekly meeting with our Uganda team, after our regular time of prayer and intercession for God’s wisdom and direction, we entered into serious discussion not only for the location and establishment of the KAI Center, but also regarding the organizational chart necessary for the establishment of the ministry as an independent agency in Uganda. We will keep you posted on the progress of these issues.
Having completed the final week of the third term of the MIBI cycle of training, we are preparing for the graduation of our Uganda team members. Those who have completed their Bachelor Degree will begin their Master’s Degree studies in September. The Master’s program will take one year. Once they complete that, they will be ready to carry forward the Transformation and Kingdom ministry curriculum of MIBI out of the KAI Center across Uganda and Africa.
Meanwhile, the final week of the third term of the MIBI cycle of training will be held next week. Although there are two more terms for this cycle, three of our Uganda team members will complete their credits to obtain their Bachelor Degrees this month. We are planning to hold a graduation ceremony for them in August so that they can begin their Master’s Degree studies in September. Once they complete that, they will be ready to carry forward the Transformation and Kingdom ministry curriculum of MIBI out of the KAI Center across Uganda and Africa.
